A Vase for Dead Flowers
An ongoing experimentation that combines the flexibility of latex balloons and cement compounds. Through stretching and, partial inflation, and hand spinning. While pouring the mixture into a pre-formed balloon expresses the frozen fluidity of the mixture, partially inflating a filled balloon and spinning it for several minutes creates a delicate shell that can be reinforced with additional layers after the shell is removed from the balloon.
